  Отличный пример качественного бестселлера, доброго и серьёзного. Не только о расовой сегрегации, но и о множестве других, до сих пор актуальных проблем. Почему эти проблемы актуальны? Потому что нам о сих пор трудно перестать делить людей на "своих" и "чужих", трудно делиться своими бедами и просить о помощи, трудно побороть зависимость от правил и норм.

  Но чем дальше, тем сильнее в каждом из нас звучит голос свободы. Я надеюсь на это. Потому что времена - они меняются.

  Вместо тысячи слов пусть здесь будет прекрасный Боб Дилан, очень к месту упомянутый в книге и как нельзя лучше описывающий эпоху 60-х.
