I love you. Remember. They cannot take it.

I grew up in a family of two generations of literature and language academics. They do read modern literature but more out of the same curiosity a modern man would have towards a barbarian time-traveler. They want to know, they want to be informed but I don't think they respect it, not really. And here I am now, learning to leave all that behind.

I liked this book first and for most, because I literally binge read it. I just couldn't stop. And if that's not the quality sign, I don't know what is. I've read many dystopian books in my days, from Thomas More to Suzanne Collins, so please don't disregard my opinion as inexperienced. However, I'm not going to compare any of those books. What for? To me reading is a matter of taste and joy. If you like it, if it brings you joy - it's a good book, for you at least. I wasn't sure if I fully enjoyed it, to be honest, since I guess I'm a bit older than the targeted audience and I could feel it sometimes... but the ending! The ending could have gone wrong in so many ways but it didn't! And that is why I give it five stars. Looking forward to the rest of the books. Accepting the freedom to talk with love about the books outside of Russian classics. Because those elitists cannot take it.
