despite the fact that i’ve read hundred’s of books, this was nearly my first thriller. and it was a good choice to open this genre for myself.
this was not a summer read to be honest, because the whole atmosphere just screams AUTUMN. but i wanted to read it since it was published, and it turned out so worthy!!
such an interesting experience to dive deep down into the mad darkness with two unreliable narrators and a beautiful language of the author.
[i must add that it’s a double pleasure to read books placed in London when you live in UK. it’s like a huge benefit to understanding what you’re reading more directly and on a whole different level]
the only part that distracted my attention sometimes, was when i met a lot of Greek metaphors, characters, links to myth. I understand that it is in the plot and it is where it should be, and I respect authors roots to Ancient Greece on a personal level, as I on behalf have them too, but sometimes i was just kinda confused. but maybe i’m wondering it. still don’t understand, and need some more time to process this moment in my head.
and GOD i LOVED the PLOT-TWIST in finale!!!
unexpected, crazy and spectacular ending!
and now i’m thinking that i should read much more thrillers, as it can easily become one of my first fav genres, from what i’ve seen here.
totally recommend to everyone,
won’t shut up about Theo and Alicia for very long! don’t even try to make me to ~~
